Where the work breaks
A source may support the first draft but not a stronger verb, broader group, or new number. The unchanged citation makes this easy to miss.

Flag edits to quantities, dates, comparisons, causal language, scope words, and quotes. Reopen the source passage after each flagged edit.
What to keep in the record
Keep the before-and-after sentence, source URL, checked passage, reviewer, and decision. Grammar changes need no equivalent trail.
Who decides
A writer may narrow unsupported wording. Expanding a claim or accepting ambiguous support requires an editor or qualified reviewer.
Use this in the daily queue
Apply the check to one named article and keep the result with that article’s release record. A short, specific entry is more useful than a generic "done" status.
